Literally it does mean "I'm not an errand boy" but it is used by debt collectors to mean: "Just because you haven't got what I came here for, doesn't mean I'm leaving empty handed" (as a child sent to the local shop to buy milk will just come home without spending the money if the shop is out of milk). It is an idiomatic phrase from Osaka and popularized by debt collectors. I agree, and the new translation is no better.
